The Finished Fireplace

I'm so happy this is done and turned out OK. It was a little hairy in the beginning and it looked more like a Halloween prop than all the gorgeous pics I'd posted before. I thought I may be up for a new mantle.

So after three coats of under coat and two of top coat plus black semi gloss on the timber surround I'll be modest and say,
I think we can keep it :)

Laundry Before and After

 Oh how I hated that old laundry, if you could even call it that.
It was the most nonfunctional space and a horrible colour.

Now...

OK so I'm pritty pleased with the result but
 this is what I really really want...

So much space for all the gorgeous jars and bits and bobs

Boys Room

 This is my next project. My seven year old sons room needs a serious overhaul. How do you keep it age appropriate and tasteful at the same time? How great are these wallpapers?

Feeling Blue

I've been busy finishing my fireplace and  slowly getting through all the painting we have to do. I needed some inspiration and it came in the form of my fav decorating mag in the post this morning with an article that included my friends beautiful home from last Christmas's issue.

House by the sea

 After spending yesterday at Mount Martha on the Mornington Peninsula it has me thinking of homes overlooking the Ocean. Oh how I'd love a house there...The second house is on the market for $US23 Million 

in case anyone has a bit of change.

How amazing is that kitchen window and view. Imagine having breakfast there or sipping a glass of wine after a long day at the beach.....

The Cup
